ABOUT THE ARTIST



KARRI ALLRICH



EDUCATION

Ms. Allrich is a Fine Arts graduate of the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, where she majored in studio painting and photography, with artists Robert Stackhouse, Ed McGowin, William Christenberry and Anne Truitt. Her diverse artistic influences include Wolf Kahn, Helen Frankenthaller, Georgia O'Keeffe, Willem DeKooning, Matisse, and Gerhard Richter.

MEDIUMS

Throughout her more than 40-year career, Karri Allrich has explored and exhibited multiple mediums, from oil and acrylic paint, to watercolor, pastels, collage, photography, and new media digital painting.

NOTABLE COMMISSIONS

From 2013-2020, Ms. Allrich was commissioned by Nordstrom to create large-scale site-specific abstract paintings for dozens of Nordstrom stores, cafes, and the New York corporate office. 


CONTACT

Ms. Allrich currently lives in the quiet woods of Northeast Connecticut, acknowledging the traditional land of the Mohegan Tribe of Uncas, and honors with gratitude the land itself and its enduring spirit.

She frequently visits walking trails, rivers, coastal preserves, and favorite painting spots throughout New England, finding inspiration and creative renewal in all four seasons with her husband, artist Steve Allrich.
