"I am inspired by the woods and the sea, the turning of the seasons, changing weather, and Spirit of Place. Within me burns an urgency to capture this brief flicker of time on earth. And paint is my language to do so.
My intention is to express what I feel- at the ocean's edge, a wild garden or a cold water creek in the woods. My paint becomes the churn of the waves, the salt air, skating clouds and flowers gathered in a jar. The sensation I feel of home, freedom entwined with connection, in the tides or in the trees.
Perception via emotion, not intellect. Like music.
What beauty feels like when you close your eyes.”
